She married Roman (Butch) Langhoff on July 10th 1966 at the Riverside United Methodist Church in Sioux City Iowa. She was known by some as “Gramma Candy” because she carried around sweets. She was adored by adults and children alike. She developed a reputation for bringing bags of candy to the staff of Holy Spirit Retirement home while her mother Ruth was living there.

She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Riverside and helped with some of the administrative duties in various committees over the years.
