Samuel L. Johnson Jr., 54, of Sioux City, IA, passed away August 14, 2024 at a local hospital.  A Celebration of Life is pending for a later date in Chicago, IL.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Samuel was born on June 21, 1970 in Chicago, IL to Samuel and Rosie (McGhee) Johnson.  He moved to Sioux City over 15 years ago and worked as a cook at Famous Dave’s.  He was a great cook and enjoyed grilling, making spaghetti, and Rice-a-roni.  He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Cordaro Samuel Lee Johnson, Lalisa Johnson, Kieshona Stevens, Danelle Thompson, Malaya Johnson and Tiajuana Johnson, and David Johnson.
