Ryder J. Peterson

Ryder J. Peterson, 45, of Sioux City, IA, passed away on April 9, 2026 at a local hospital. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Ryder was born on April 12, 1980 in Tallahassee, Florida to Richard Peterson and Karen Burnham and moved to Sioux City when he was young. He graduated from high school and went on to attend Western Iowa Tech. Ryder worked in the construction field for most of his life. He enjoyed playing the guitar, reading, nature, and going for hikes at Stone State Park. Ryder was especially proud of his daughter, Ivy.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Ivy Peterson of Cedar Rapids, IA.
