Ruben A Tague, age 56, of Sioux City entered into rest on Saturday September 22, at a local hospital following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 25, 2012 at 10:30am from Waterbury Funeral Service with interment following in Graceland Park cemetery. Ruben was born on September 1, 1956 in Sioux City. He grew up in Sioux City and attended Sioux City Community Schools and graduated with the class of 1974 from West High School.
Ruben enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family. In his younger years, he was active in Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 1971 as well as receiving his God and Country award in 1969. He owned and operated Tague Catering and Ye Olde Tavern Café in Sioux City for many years. He grew up as a member of Riverside United Methodist Church and had recently transferred his membership to Whitfield United Methodist Church. He was a former member of the Riverside Masonic Lodge, was a Master Mason. He also was a active member of the Shrine Clowns.
Ruben is survived by his father Clifford Tague Sr. of Sioux City, his sister Kathy Tague of Sioux City, his brothers: James R Tague and his wife Lorie of Sioux City, and Clifford A Tague Jr. and his wife Robin of Denton, Texas. He is also survived by his nieces Kimberly K Ritchison and husband Randy of Sioux City, Kandy K Tague of Blairsville, Georgia, Nichole and Tara Tague of Denton, Texas, and Jenny Tague of Sioux City. Nephew James R Tague of Blairsville, Georgia and three-great nephews that he loved and adored: Johnny Ray of Sioux City, Kacin of Blairsville, Georgia and Carson of Denton, Texas
Ruben was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Tague, sister Kandy K. Tague,,his grandparents Reuben & Pearl Tague and James & Elizabeth Carnes.
