Rosemary Jean LeFebvre

Rosemary J. LeFebvre passed away on Monday, July 13th, 2026 in Lawton, Iowa. A funeral service will be Thursday, July 30th at 11:00 a.m., with visitation 1 hour prior, at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. A private burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Mapleton, Iowa at a later date.

Rosemary Jean Dirksen was born to Ronald and Shirley (Nixon) Dirksen on January 1, 1953 in Mapleton IA. The family resided in the Danbury and Battle Creek area until they relocated to Auburn WA. in 1966. They moved to Mapleton, IA in 1969; where she graduated from high school in 1971. She then attended and graduated from Nettleton Commercial College.

On September 21, Daniel LeFebvre and Rosemary were united in marriage at St Mary's Catholic Church in Mapleton. Rosemary retired from the United States Post Office (USPS) after 33 years. In 2012, Dan and Rosemary became area franchise owners for Mountain Man Nut & Fruit Co. They retired again in 2019.

Survivors include her husband, Dan; children, Matt (Patty) of Las Vegas, NV, Eliza (Leo) of Holstein, IA, Steven of Niobrara, NE and Joe (Sara Rehan) of Sioux City, IA., siblings, Phyllis (Earl) Davis of Gainesboro, TN, Alan (Susan) of Dunbar, NE and Tim (Debbie) of Kingsley, IA, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Ronald and Shirley Dirksen and a brother, John.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gospel Mission or Warming Shelter.
