Rosemary (Hammer) Hanslip 71, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Westwood Nursing and Rehab Center, surrounded by her family.

Services will be 1 pm Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue, with Rev. Bob Schoenherr officiating. Visitation one hour prior to time of service at the funeral home.

Rosemary was born on March 24, 1943 in Allen, Nebraska to Edward and Ethel (Belz) Hammer. She married Merle Hanslip on February 24 1963 in Sioux City. Together they raised 4 children.

Rosemary loved spending time with family and friends during the holidays. She liked playing bingo.
Rosemary enjoyed being a member of CrossPointe Church.

Rosemary is survived by her husband Merle, Daughter Debby Michael (Todd), Son Randy Hanslip (Carrie), Daughter Julie Hanslip, Son Russ Hanslip (Maria). 6 Grandchilderen, Amber, Megan and Alex Michael, Jacob and Paul Hanslip, and Kimberly Villatoro. Sister Lois Titus(Charles) Colorado, Dale Hammer(Druscilla) New Mexico, Delbert Hammer Sioux City.

Rosemary was preceeded in death by her parents, sisters Elsie Sunderman, Shirley Brockman and brother Albert Hammer.
