Ronnie L. "Catfish" Gann Jr., 50, of St. Joseph Missouri passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City Ia., after a 2 year battle with Cancer.
A memorial service will be held 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be held from 4pm-8pm Wednesday, September 21, 2016 with family present from 6pm-8pm. The Graveside service will be held 10 am Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Joseph Missouri. A part of his ashes will be spread over his favorite hunting spot in Washington.
Ronnie was born October 17, 1965 in St. Joseph Missouri, Son of Ronnie Sr. and Candy (Crawford) Gann. Ronnie grew up in St. Joseph and after graduation he served in the United States Navy from 1984- 1988. After serving he moved to Tacoma, Washington where he married and had two beautiful children. Ronnie then moved to Sioux City in December of 2014 where met his wife Lori Odonnell. Ronnie and Lori were married on August 14, 2016.
Ronnie worked at Sioux City Compressed Steele as a Crane operator. He was also an avid hunter, fisherman and felt at home in the outdoors. Ronnie was a devoted family man and had many friends from all over the country, to know Ronnie was to love him. His smile and personality made that very easy.
Ronnie is survived by his wife Lori Gann; two children Jesse Gann and Hailey Gann; three step children Tucker Sitzmann, Baily Sitzmann, and Grace Lefebvre; parents Ronnie Sr. (Candy) Gann, three brothers; Tobey Gann, Shad (Stephanie) Gann, Brick (Michelle) Gann; many Uncles, Aunt, Nephews, nieces and cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Leland and Temela Gann, James and Fern Crawford, and Earl and Mildred Taylor, his Uncle Larry Gann and cousins.
