Ronald E, Jeffords, 54, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Heartland Community Baptist Church, 2201 W. 19th Street, Sioux City, with Rev. Gene Stockton officiating. A visitation will be held 6-7:30 pm Friday, December 5, 2014 at the church with family present. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Ron was born on June 25, 1960, in Sioux City, the son of William and Lucille (Tiemann) Jeffords.
He attended McCook Lake/Jefferson, SD High School. Ron joined the United States Army in 1977, serving in Germany as a helicopter mechanic, and was discharged in 1980. He was also in the United States Reserves until 2002.

Ron married Suzette Bosse in 1995 and they later divorced. He worked at Aalfs Manufacturing, A&M Laundry, and Sabre Communications, retiring for health reasons in 2012. Ron loved muscle cars, motorcycles, ATVs, music, camping, and fishing.

Survivors include his sons: Nolan Jeffords of McCook Lake and his girlfriend Katie, and Chad Jeffords and his wife Sarah of Lincoln, NE, grandchildren: Melanie and Mackenzie Jeffords, sisters: Sharon Bartle and her husband Marlin, Mona Jeffords, Melanie Dicks and her husband Larry, all of Sioux City, brothers: Michael Jeffords and his wife Wendy of Sioux City, Terry Jeffords of North Sioux City, SD, Bill Jeffords of Sioux City, and Scott Jeffords and his wife Julie of Sioux City.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, one nephew Jason Jeffords, and his dog, Jade.
