Rolland R.”Rollie” Cook, 64 of Sergeant Bluff, died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at a local hospital.
A Celebration of Rollie’s life will be held 5-8pm Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the George Nelson American Legion Hall in Sergeant Bluff. Arrangements are under the assistance of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.
Rolland Roy Cook was born on August 9, 1954 in Sioux City, the son of Jack and Juanita (Raab) Cook. He graduated in 1972 from the Sergeant Bluff High School and later attended the Iowa State University and majored in Agronomy. On September 2, 1977 he was united in marriage to Anne Maupin.
Rollie farmed in the Sergeant Bluff area. He enjoyed gardening, boating and going on “road trips”. He was an avid reader, especially history books.
Rollie is survived by his wife Anne Cook, his sons Zak and Zeb Cook, all of Sergeant Bluff, daughters Mara (Nick) Jorgensen of Sergeant Bluff and Rhobia (Paul) Brewer of Merrill, 5 grandchildren, Jace Jorgensen, Jack Jorgensen, Breck Brewer, Weston Brewer and Colby Brewer, his brothers Ronald (Jennelle) Cook of Salix and Richard (Steven) Cook of St. Paul, Minnesota and a sister in-law, Sue Cook of Sergeant Bluff.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Cook.
