Roger A. Jensen of South Sioux City, Nebraska passed away on December 19, 2025. Roger was born on January 10, 1939 in West Bend, Iowa to Andrew and Hazel (Peters) Jensen. He graduated from West Bend High School and then Drake University in Des Moines. On June 5, 1960 he married Donna Freeman who predeceased him on January 30, 2023. Roger and Donna were longtime residents of the Sioux City area.
Roger worked as a comptroller for the Boyle Company. He was a Ham Radio operator and private pilot, both of which he really enjoyed. He was one of the founders and past president of the Siouxland Dive Rescue Group for over 20 years. Roger was a member of the Masonic Fraternity of Iowa and the Shriners for over fifty years. He was also a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Roger is survived by his daughter, Annette Clark of Winona Lake, Indiana; son, Robert (Denise) Jensen of Kona, Hawaii; grandchildren, Christy Bennett, Jay Clark, and Nicki Clark, and great grandsons, Hawken and Jensen Bennett, of Indiana; sister, Margy Wood of Fort Dodge, Iowa; sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Arnold Cody of Arizona. No services are planned as his ashes will be spread off the Island of Hawaii together with Donna’s.
Memorials can be made to the American Lung Association, American Heart Association, or the Siouxland Humane Society.
