Rodney Louis Houston, age 32, of Winnebago, Nebraska, formerly of Sioux City, passed away on Saturday January 25, 2014 at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at Four Directions Center in Sioux City with Mr. Robert Hoffman officiating. Mr. Houston will be cremated following the service. Visitation will begin at noon on Tuesday with a Wake Service held at 7:00 pm at Four Directions. Waterbury Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Rodney was born in Sioux City, Iowa on March 14, 1981, the son of Sammy L. Wallace and Kimberly A, Houston. He lived in Sioux City most of his life until moving to Winnebago three years ago.
Rodney was a gifted tattoo artist, who loved to draw. He always tried to make everyone feel better about themselves no matter the circumstances. He loved and cherished the time that he could spend with his children, and family. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother Kim Bedford of Omaha, Nebraska, his companion Alysia Rice of Winnebago, his children: Apollo, R-eon, Roxy, Adam, and Evea. He is also survived by a brother Shane of Omaha, and sisters Nina Houston of Omaha, and his big sister Charryse Chavez.
Rodney was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents Harry and Merle Houston, "Jack", Aunt Tracy Boyle, and his best friend Weston Grant
