Rocky Lee Hoffman, 42, of Sioux City, IA, passed away August 30, 2025.  A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jefferson, SD.  Visitation will be from 9-10:00 a.m. at church.  Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Rocky was born on August 19, 1983 in Sioux City, IA to Marlin and Teresa (Verdoorn) Hoffman.  He graduated from Dakota Valley High School.  When Rocky was younger he lived to skateboard.  He was a stay at home Dad for 11 years to his children, Josh and Rory.  He loved an ice cold beer and was an accomplished drummer in multiple bands around Sioux City. He enjoyed traveling across the United States to play.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Joshua and Rory Hoffman; mom, Teresa Verdoorn; grandparents, Peanut and Rosie Verdoorn; siblings: Tanika (Treg) Hoffman, Clay Hoffman, Sheri Huss, Garret Hoffman; special friend, Samantha Donovan; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Marlin; and paternal grandparents.
