Robin R. Michels, 58, of Sioux City, IA, passed away on March 28, 2023.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 2nd at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Robin was born on December 10, 1965, in Sioux City, Iowa to Glen and Lois (Preston) Hanson.  She graduated from North High School and received her nursing degree from WITCC.  Robin worked as a caregiver for the elderly throughout her career, most recently working at Accura Health.  She married Jeffery Michels on October 15, 2018, on the river in their pontoon.

Robin loved all animals and pets. She would feed the squirrels and watch the deer from her window.  Robin enjoyed a good rainstorm and going fishing with her husband.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Jeff Michels; mother, Lois "Joan" Hanson; daughter, Katelyn Thompson; sisters: Kimberly (Arley) Rankin, Debra Keele, Katy Fiksdale; and her cat, Lemonhead.

She is preceded in death by her father, Glen Hanson and sister, Susan Cherrier.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
