Robin Eugene Brubaker, 58 of Sioux City, was called home to be with the Lord and other family members on December 1st, 2017.
Burial and graveside service will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, December 6th, at Calvary Cemetery, Galilee section.
Robin was born August 1, 1959 to David and Mary Ann (Meyer) Brubaker, Sioux City, Iowa. Robin was one of seven children growing up on the “east side” and he attended Franklin Elementary and Woodrow Wilson Junior High Schools. Later he received his GED and went on to graduate from Texas Technical Institute, specializing in welding (mig & tig).
Robin worked a variety of jobs, mostly in the construction/maintenance field and the best job he loved was working as a supervisor for Trafcon Inc, out of Lincoln, Nebraska.
Robin loved fishing and nature and lived a variety of places, including Texas, Arizona, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nebraska and finally, Iowa, where he worked for Brower Construction building grain bins.
Robin had some hard times in life, but he also enjoyed a lot of good times too. Robin was known to be a history buff and loved good food, especially an “all you can eat crab legs” buffet. Robin always liked to “tease” and laugh and there are many fun, silly or just easy going memories his family and friends are left with.
Survivors include his mother Mary Ann, brother Craig, sister Angie (Dave) Via, (Sioux City); brother Scott, (Minnesota) sister Lisa (Jay) Schenzel (McCook Lake) and nephews Adam, Danny, Corey, Jesse, Michael, August and a niece Katey.
Robin was proceeded in death by his sister Maureen, brother Davey, and father David as well as both sets of grandparents.
