Robert D. Ruhland, the son of Arthur and Dona (Witt) Ruhland, was born January 28 th , 1943 in LeMars, Iowa. Bob married Janelle Price and with this marriage Bob has a beautiful Daughter, Tammy Ruhland.

On July 22 nd , 2003 Robert married the love of his life Debra F. Harrison in Elk Point, S.D. Bob and Deb met at Mickie’s and this was the beginning of their adventurous journey of love and marriage.

Robert worked at Missouri Valley Steel for forty-seven years as a top notch machine operator. He made many friends during those years, and continued to golf with one of his MVS friends, Steve Tally up until a few years ago.

Robert enjoyed golf, playing it and watching Tiger on television, going to a PGA tournament in Hazeltine and Senior Tour in Omaha, NFL Football a true Vikings fan, his friend, Bill got him interested in Iowa football and basketball games, can we talk fishing Bob loved to fish out on his boat, on a dock or even the ice burr from Iowa to Minnesota to South Dakota, to North Dakota and down to Arkansas wherever he heard of good fishing he and Deb were off in their camper to fish, we won’t point out that Deb often times could out fish him but they had fun anyway, loved, loved, loved his animals, they all had names and special “treats”,  keeping his acreage looking sharp kept a beautiful yard with multiple outdoor decorations, many of which he made, flowers and trees that he planted. Bob was a hard worker all of his life and sure didn’t back away from work that needed to be done. Bob’s family was everything to him, hosting annual birthday parties with fireworks for Deb, good music, good times, good western movies, good food and an evening beverage at Eddie’s that was a good life for Bob. His humor and his stories will be so missed, Bob was a good man that was loved by many, we might have said Robert a few times, we might have shook our head sometimes but to know Bob was to love Bob you just couldn’t help yourself!
