Robert Earl Rausch

Robert Earl Rausch, 37, of Sioux City, IA, passed away September 20, 2026. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at St. James Global Methodist Church, 2032 South Cypress St. Sioux City, Iowa.. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Robert was born on November 3, 1988 in Sioux City, IA to Bobby and Suzanne Ewers.

 He attended Sioux City Schools. He loved spending time with his children, family, and friends. Robert enjoyed going to parks and having cookouts. He enjoyed fishing with his Dad and brothers.

He was master of all trades. He loved collecting skulls and anything to with tattooing. He helped everyone with whatever they needed, that included neighbors as well. He would have given you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was an amazing person and so kind.

Robert had a big heart. He was very instrumental in helping his mother, Susie, with all her needs. Whatever it was she needed, he never told her NO. He will be missed.

Robert is survived by his parents; children: Jepnika and Chase of Onawa, Iowa, and Landon of Sioux City, Iowa; brother: Eddie Jo (Casey), and their children: Taylee, Matthew, Lathyn, Jordyn, and Shayla, Neleah; sister, Kimberly Sue, and a great uncle Alan (Corkey) Thorngren (Barb) of Menefee, Ark. 

Also, survived by his significant other, Michelle and her children; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Joseph Brewer and Wilma Brewer; paternal grandparents: Robert Ewers Sr. and Marjorie Scofield; brother, Matthew; aunt, Carol Lee; uncles: Virgil Rausch and Donald Wold; cousin, Amy Barbee; and many aunts and uncles.
