Robert Rasmussen, 85, of Jefferson, SD, passed away surrounded by his family on March 5, 2024.  A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00am Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Abundant Life Fellowship Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church, with a luncheon to follow after the service.   Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Bob was born on April 9, 1938, in Sioux City, IA to Elvin and Winifred (Berrington) Rasmussen.  When he was 13 years old, he enlisted in the United States Army and was later honorably discharged.  He was united in marriage to Donna Maron on April 10, 1972, in Minnesota.  Bob worked as a car salesman before becoming a pastor and starting Abundant Life Fellowship Church.  He enjoyed preaching, playing golf, racing cars, and doing construction work, especially for the elderly.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Donna Rasmussen; children: Randy (Renee), Lauri Iddings, Robert (Sherry), Dana, Dude, Danny Sencenbaugh, Nick (Beckie), Rob, Kim Martinez, and Stephanie (Alfred) Taylor; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Elvin (Sandy) Rasmussen, Patricia Fritz, and Ronald “Ronnie” Rasmussen; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law; Lorence Iddings and a grandson, Daniel Rasmussen.
