Robert H. Newton, 74 of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018. Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2322 West 22nd Street. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Robert Harry Newton was born July 23, 1944 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Harry and Wilma (Barr) Newton. As a teenager Bob lived in Arizona and Washington before returning to Sioux City to work with his dad at Sioux Tools, learning to become a machinist. He worked for All Power and Gateway Engineering in South Sioux City, retiring in 2007. Robert married Deanna Martinson on July 2, 2005 in Sioux City.

Bob was avid motorcycle rider, he enjoyed the ride from Sturgis and back, fixing and driving Hot Rods, loved spending time with his children, and no marshmallow peeps were safe to be around Bob.

He was a member of the Strollers Car Club, and he was a great friend with area Motorcycles Clubs members.

Robert is survived by his wife Deanna; four sons, Wesley Michael Newton, Robert (Bob) Jr., Matt Boldra, Nick Newton; one daughter, Cathy Brandt; a brother, Bill Newton; two sisters, Kay (Don) Hamilton, Rose Perry; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law John Perry.
