Robert L. “Bobby” Harris 60 of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 after fighting a long illness, at a local hospital. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Monday, November 22, 2021 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be 11:00am Tuesday, November 23 in St. John’s Cemetery in Jackson, NE.
Robert was born on June 10, 1961, in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Eugene and Agnes (Mackey) Harris. Bobby graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1979. Right after high school, he started work for PBX (IBP now Tyson) as a Shag Driver aka Trailer Relocation Manager per Bob. While working at IBP, Bob met and fell in love with the love of his life, Lisa Boehm.
Bobby enjoyed traveling with Lisa to include cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean, and the Panama Canal. You could also find Bobby boating on the river, having laughs and drinks with friends and family. Most importantly, Bobby enjoyed the times shared with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his life partner and best friend, Lisa Boehm, sons, Robert (Paula) Harris, John (Carissa) Holton III, daughter, Jen (Adam) Paulsen, mother-in-law, Harriett Boehm, brother, William (Robin) Harris, two sisters, Jeanne Leander, Andrea (Chad Meyer) Harvey, four sister-in-laws, Cindy (Mike) Lloyd, Lori Merrill, Beth Young, Brenda (Jeff) De Lance, and four grandchildren; Emma Holton, John Holton IV, Jameson Paulsen, and Emmett Paulsen. Bobby is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Donald Boehm, and brother-in-law, Paul Leander.
