Rita K. (Eberly) Rahn, age 57, of Sioux City passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Embassy Care Center in Sergeant Bluff.
Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City with Chaplain Lorna Peters and Rev. Tim Glover officiating. Graveside services will take place on Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home in Sioux City. The family requests that everyone attending please dress casually.
Rita was born on May 15, 1959 in Sioux City, the daughter of Wayne and Bernice (Bliesdel) Eberly. She graduated from the Lawton-Bronson High School in 1977. On May 12, 1990 Rita was united in marriage to Daniel Rahn.
Rita worked over the years at various area businesses, including Miller Surplus, waitress at a few restaurants including the Green Gable, and most recently assisting tax filers at Liberty Tax. She enjoyed singing karaoke, but most of all being with her family.
Rita is survived by her daughter Crystal Rahn of Sioux City; her step-son Chad Rahn of Le Mars; step-grandchildren Jacob, Ron, tanner and Jordan Rahn; her brother Ronald (Rose) Eberly of Sioux City and step-brothers Alan Glover of Phoenix, Arizona and Tim Golver of Zion, Illinois; her sister, Beverly (Dean) Swan of Rogers, Arkansas; a niece and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Step sons Derek and Alan Eberly and her step-mother, Annette Glover Eberly.
In Lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial fund in his name.
