Richard A. “Migo” Red Owl, 55 of Sioux City died Monday, June 12, 2023 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held 10 am Friday at St. Paul's Indian Mission. Burial will be in Hubo Cemetery in Lindy, Nebraska. Wake services will start 3 pm Wednesday at St. Paul's Indian Mission.

Richard Alan Red Owl was born on September 3, 1967 in Sioux City, the son of Roger Taylor and Lydia Red Owl. Richard attended boarding school at Anadarko, Oklahoma. Richard, whom his friends call him “Migo”,  enjoyed playing pool (and running the table), hanging out at the Sioux City Hard Rock and he was very talented with his drawings and paintings.

Richard is survived by his sisters Anjanette Red Owl and Sonja Reynolds, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lydia Red Owl, his father Roger Taylor, grandmother Ada RedOwl and one brother, David Red Owl.
