Richard Lewis Lade, 81, of Sioux City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at his residence, following a lengthy illness. Services will be held 10:00am on Friday, December 5th, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1201 W. Clifton in Sioux City. A visitation will be held 6-8 pm on Thursday evening, December 4, 2014 at the church. A luncheon will follow the service and burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Richard was born on August 17, 1933 in Tecumsen, Nebraska, the son of Ernest and Gertrude (Beethe) Lade. He married Alice Castle on September 8, 1972. Richard worked at Cargill for 20 plus years, retiring in the early 1990's. He was a hard working man who never complained. Richard loved his family with all his heart and would help anybody with anything. He loved gambling at the boat, camping, fishing, training horses and much more. Last but not least, he loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Alice Lade, 3 daughters: Theresa Kisling of Beatrice, NE, Roxanne (Joe) McKenzie, and Dawn (Chris) Moore of Sioux City, 2 sons: Mark Lade of Sioux City and Kevin (Tina) Lade of Warsaw, MO, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, one sister, and one stepson
