Richard E. "Dick" Offerman, 85 of North Sioux City, died Saturday, December 10, 2022, at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be held 3:30 pm Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the St. Peter's Cemetery, Jefferson, South Dakota, with Military Honors provided by the Army.

Richard Elmer Offerman was born on March 26, 1937, in Remsen, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Bernice (Krier) Offerman. Dick graduated from the Remsen High School. Dick served in the Army. Dick was married to Theresa Borghernick in 1965. On May 28, 1975, Dick was married to Patricia Morgan.

Dick was self-employed during his lifetime. Dick enjoyed being with his family and nieces and nephews. Dick liked to buy and fix up houses and resell them.

Dick is survived by his wife, Patricia; his nephews and niece, Mike Chicoine, Lori (Mike) Maher and Brad Chicoine; his great nephews James (Kandace) Chicoine, Tyler (Alexi) Chicoine, Ryan (Mara) Schaefer, Nate (Marissa) Schaefer and his great nieces and nephew, Katie (TY) Teveldal,  JJ Chicoine and Katherine Chicoine; and his son Keith (Michelle) Offerman and their son Michael.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Theresa and his sister, Mary Chicoine.
