Renee, daughter of Rene J. and Eleanor A. Choquette, grew up on a farm near Salix, Iowa. She met her future husband, William M. Beacom, in first grade, and their attachment never stopped growing. Renee and William married on September 3, 1959 and began raising their family in Salix before moving to Sioux City. Renee was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, an excellent cook, an avid reader and gardener, and a wonderful friend and example to all who loved her. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish for 41 years and was very active in supporting her church and community, holding many leadership positions in dozens of organizations.
