Raymond J. Michalsky, 68, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at a local hospital. Per his wishes, Raymond will be cremated and no services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Raymond was born on April 20, 1947, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Joseph and June (Bandeko) Michalsky. He joined the United States Army from 1964 to 1966 and was overseas during the Vietnam War. Raymond was a barber and worked at Crown Barbers in Sioux City. He loved playing cards, hunting, his motorcycle and his Camero. His pets held a special place in his heart, dog Natasha and his pet cat. Raymond was a member of the Abu Bekr Shriners, and as a young boy was in the boy scouts.

Survivors include his sister Nancy (Jeffery) Arndt of Sioux City, brother Ralph Michalsky of Minnesota, friend Moreen Counterman of Sioux City, and nieces and nephews.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
