Raymond J. Card, Jr., aged 86, passed away peacefully at home on May 31, 2024. Born on October 9th, 1937, in Sioux City, Iowa, Raymond lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and dear friends.  He honorably served his country by enlisting in the Air Force from 1956 to 1960 and was honorably discharged with the rank of Airmen 2nd Class. After his military service, Raymond started his education and training in the plumbing and steam fitter trades with the distinction of Master Plumber. Always dedicated to his work, trade and union, Raymond finished his career working for General Motors in their new, state of the art Saturn car manufacturing plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

For the people who knew Raymond they always loved his big smile and deep compassion for friends and family.  He was always the family go to guy; you could always count on him. You will always remember him as an unbelievably passionate man. Whether it was competitive trap shooting, bowling, golf, or watching Caitlin Clark, he loved the game, the competition and the desire to succeed.

Raymond is survived by his children Stephanie (Shane) Meyer of Sioux city, Iowa, Erick Card of Akron, Iowa; his grandchildren Aleshia (Matthew) Ebel of Fremont, Nebraska, Joshua (Megan) Meyer of Moville, Iowa, Kiely (Christian) Jepsen of Sioux City, Iowa; and his great grandchildren Lilly Ebel, James Ebel, Ava Ebel, Clare Meyer, Rain Jepsen, Meadow Jepsen, and Jack Jepsen. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Colleen Marie Card, his parents Raymond Card, Sr. / Helen Gill, and five uncles (Ralph, George, Fred, Clifford, Paul Card).
