Randall J. “Randy” Sturges, 57 of Holstein, died Friday, October 20, 2017 at a hospital in Cherokee.

Memorial Services will be held 1 pm Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

Randall John Sturges was born on January 19, 1960 in Sioux City, the son of John and Daphene Sturges. He attended school in Sioux City and in 1986, was married to Marcy Johnson. They were later divorced.

Randy was a welder and worked construction in the area until health issues in 2006. Randy enjoyed wrestling, the outdoors, especially fishing and most importantly, being with his family.

Randy is survived by his sons Dustin (Nancy) Waldon of Hanford, California, Stephen (Devanne) Sturges of Sioux City, his daughter Randi Sturges of Sioux City, 8 grandchildren, Austin Waldon, Savana Waldon, Tylar Waldon, Blake Smith, Brayden Smith, Autumn Sturges, Connor Sturges and Hunter Sturges, one great-grandchild, Mia Ibarra, his parents, John and Daphene Sturges, his sisters Clarice (Randy Erickson) Sturges of Sioux City, Kim Sturges of Sioux City, Terri Sturges of Merrill and Cindy Sturges of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one grandson, Joshua Dayton Sturges.
