Randy Ray Rath, 69, of Sioux City, IA, passed away March 5, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.  Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Randy was born on June 15, 1954, in Moville, IA to Raymond and Violet (Durigan) Rath.  He graduated from Moville High School in 1973, where he played football all four years.  He was united in marriage to Linda Vondrak on April 22, 1990, in Reno, NV.  Randy started his career fixing and selling cars in the automotive industry.  He then earned his associate degree as a Bio Med Tech from WITCC.  He then worked as a BioMed tech at Mercy One for over 10 years.  He enjoyed building model cars, golfing, tinkering in the garage, Dodge Chargers, hunting, and 49ers football.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his dog, Chico.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Linda Rath; daughter, Alissa (Emigdio) Becerra; son, David (Tymmrie) Rath; 6 grandchildren; niece, Tami Manker; nephew, Rick Rice; 3 great-grand nieces; and several great-great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister and brother-in-law, Rae Joann and William Redding.
