Randy Custer, 61, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at his residence, following a lengthy illness. Services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, March 6, 2017 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. A visitation will be held 4-8 with family present from 6-8 and a prayer service at 7:00 pm, Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date.
Randy was born on January 23, 1956 in Sioux City to Gene and Shirley (Laddisaw) Custer. He attended West High School. Randy married Dianna Kratz on January 15, 1977 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Sioux City.
Randy spent most of his life in Sioux City, with five years living in Everett, Washington. In Sioux City, he has worked for the City of Sioux City and Jolly Time Popcorn. While he was in Washington, Randy owned and operated a landscaping business.
Randy held a special place in the hearts of many family, friends, even stopping to help a stranger. His life was devoted to being a father, grandfather, and husband. He will be remembered in the hearts of many.
Survivors include his wife, Dianna; daughter, Christina; son, Daniel, all of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; five siblings, Patricia Ellis, Carol Junck, Gary Custer, Dennis Custer, and Terry Custer; and many nieces and nephews.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Staci; sisters, Linda and Tina; brother, Guy; and granddaughter, Raynni
