Randy La Verne Adolphson, 66, of Dakota City, NE, passed away surrounded by his family on October 17, 2023, at a local nursing home.  A private family service will be held at a later date.  Waterbury funeral service of Sioux City is handling the arrangements.

Randy was born on June 18, 1957, in Sioux City, IA to Rodney and Adrienne (Brummond) Adolphson.  He graduated high school and enlisted in the United States Army and was later honorably discharged.  He was united in marriage to Susan Foley on November 26, 1977, in Colorado Springs, CO.  He later served in the National Guard for over 12 years.  Randy worked at several nursing homes throughout Siouxland, including Touchstone and Matney's.  He enjoyed watching football, drinking beer and BBQ's.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Sue Adolphson, Dakota City, NE; son, Jacob Adolphson, Kansas City, MO; sister, Vicky Adolphson, Sioux City, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Gwen Esters.
