Randolph "Randy" Spencer, 68, of Maurice, IA, passed away surrounded by his family on July 1, 2024.  A memorial service will be held Friday, July 5th at 9:00 a.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.  Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.

Randy was born on November 12, 1955 in Sioux City, IA to Rolland and Phyllis (Price) Spencer. Randy married Mary Bitner on August 8, 1975, to this union they had 2 children. They later divorced. He worked as a truck driver for Vander Kooi Freight out of Hull, IA and several other trucking companies.  He had been working at Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh in Sioux Center for the past year.  Randy enjoyed fishing, camping, fireworks and the Fourth of July.  He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to honor his memory include his life partner, Kevin Statema; daughters: Kellie (Bryon Hines) Spencer and Jane Spencer, and Jill Craig (who was like another daughter to Randy); step-mom, Sophia (Joe Payton) Fredricks; siblings: Cheryl (Paul) Boeckman, Christine (Wayne) Hardin, Lance (Ophelia) Spencer, Dean (Michelle) Spencer, and Rachel (Derek) Fedkenheuer; grandchildren: Brandon (Carly) Long, Brian (Kayci) Long, David Gifford, Lane (Annastasia) Spencer, Kolby (Isabella) Spencer, Quinten Brist; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
