Obituary

Randall L. Lange (Randy) 75 of Sioux City, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 10 th at his home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday February 17, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Sioux City Ia. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to service.

Randy was born on January 21 st , 1947 in Sioux City, Iowa to Luther & Darlene (Oswald) Lange. He attended schools in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School in 1965.  He then went on to serve his country by enlisting in the Air Force in 1968 and served until he was honorably discharged in 1971.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Randy became an auto salesman after his military service. He worked for several of the auto dealerships in the Sioux City area for the past 50 years with the last several years being spent with Budget Motors in Sioux City. He retired last fall when his health began to decline.

He married the love of his life, Barbara Kelly on June 4 th , 2001 in Las Vegas. They were blessed with 21 years together.

If you knew Randy, you’d know his character was larger than life. He was always quick with a story and loved telling them to those who would lend an ear. He was an avid sports fan and was a passionate Iowa Hawkeye fan. He had a love of baseball since playing it as a kid and enjoyed rooting for the Chicago Cubs. He also enjoyed fishing & golfing. Randy was a proud American and took great pride in being a veteran.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Barbara. His daughter; Rheanna Jenness, son; Lee Lange, Grandsons; Jordan Jenness, Landon Jenness & Parker Lange. Granddaughter; Jadyn Jenness. Sisters; Lori Wiedemeier, Mary (Willie) Irwin & numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to send out a thank you to Hospice of Siouxland for their compassionate care; and also, a special thank you to his friend, Brian Vakulskas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther & Darlene. Sister; Susan Zortman; brother; Bobby Lange. Brother in laws: Thad Wiedemeier and Tom Kelly.
