Randy D. Alexander, 62 of Sioux City, died Monday, August 2, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.

Memorial Services will be held 11 am Friday, August 6 ^th at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will be in Smithland Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to service time.

Randall David Alexander was born on April 26, 1959 in Onawa, the son of Ralph and Janis (Cutler) Alexander. He graduated from Westwood High School in Sloan in 1978. Randy continued working on the family farm with his parents before launching out on his own farming ventures. Most recently he owned and operated Alexander’s Liberty Farms, and had been an over the road truck driver.

Randy loved spending time on the farm with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed reading and listening to Gospel music.

Randy is survived by son Andy (Emily) Alexander of Iowa City, daughter Taurice (Justin) Lounsbury of Sioux City, and step-daughters Savanna (Henry) De Paz, and India (Trevor) Dowell both of Ottumwa, grandchildren Elena and Ethan Lounsbury, Eden and Noah Alexander, Eliseo and Emiliano De Paz and Ivory and Rose Dowell, sister Kathryn Alexander-Garcia, and brothers Michael, Kim, Kevin, and Jeff.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Sarah, and infant siblings Dovin, and Merlin.
