Randal (Randy) Dean Rosenbaum was born on April 7th, 1949, in Akron, Iowa, He was the only one of his siblings born in a hospital. Randy passed away peacefully in his home in Elk Point on Sunday, August 17th, surrounded by his son and grandchildren, at the age of 76.
When he was young, he held a lot of different jobs, including spending time in the music industry, where he made lifelong friendships. He also owned his own bar for quite a few years. However, once he found insurance, he worked for himself as an Independent Insurance Agent for the remainder of his life.
Thanks to the influence of Richard and Russel, Randy became an avid outdoorsman, both hunting and fishing. He would organize hunting trips among friends and family. He spent several years guiding others in fishing and spent several more fishing professional walleye tournaments across the upper midwest. He truly loved to fish and enjoyed passing it on to his family and friends. He took great pride in sharing the love of fishing with his son and grandchildren.
He was a proud member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He loved their Thanksgiving dinners, and he would often buy extra and deliver it to those who couldn't make it in person. The family greatly appreciates his influence on their lives, and he will be dearly missed.
