Ralph M. Tuttle, 98, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by his family on August 14, 2024. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ralph was born on August 26, 1925 in Sioux City, IA to Raymond and Mary (Paulson) Tuttle. He lived in Leeds, IA throughout his childhood. He served in The United States Navy during WWII from 1943-1946. Ralph worked for IPS, now Mid-American, in overhead lines for over 40 years. He was a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association, and The Border Collie Association. Ralph raised quarter horses. He loved horses and Border Collies. He was united in marriage to Delores “Dee” Dawdy on June 30, 1963 in Lawton, IA, sharing over 61 years of marriage.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Delores “Dee” Tuttle, Sioux City, IA; children: Ralph Tuttle Jr., Kent, WA, Sue (Tim) Linke, Tempe, AZ; grandchildren: Dave (Teresa) Linke, Chandler, AZ, Jody (Adam) Burker, Cory Tuttle, Jennifer Tuttle, all of WA; great-grandchildren: Chance Linke and Tyler Burker; and a sister, Betty (Dale) Sorenson
He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Dick (Irene) Tuttle and Jerry (Genella) Tuttle.
