Preston G. Dezeeuw, 73 of Merrill, Iowa passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at a local hospital. Services will be held 10:00am Monday, October 11, 2021 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Preston Gene Dezeeuw was born February 27, 1948 in Orange City, Iowa the son of Wesley and Bertha (Bakker) Dezeeuw. He grew up in Sheldon. His family moved to Sioux City, where Preston graduated from Central High School in 1966. He entered in the US Army in 1967 receiving an honorable discharge in 1970.   On December 14, 1974 Preston married Kathy Stone in Elk Point, South Dakota. Preston worked at Nutra Flo, Load King, and Gateway Computers until he retired, due to a disability.

He loved to ride his motorcycle, enjoyed going camping, fishing, and being outdoors.  Preston could and would fix everything that he could get his hands on. He was a member of the VFW.

Preston is survived by his wife, Kathy, four children, Pete Linny, Billy (Ashley) Trapp, Kandi (Scott) Dezeeuw, Heather Burdorf, three sisters, Brenda (Ken) Alons, Janice (Don) Dose, Gracia Hohbach, 16 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

He proceeded in death by his parents, and infant sister, Wanda Dezeeuw.
