Pauline Violet Iwen, age 87, of Sioux City died on Sunday June 19, 2011 at a local care facility.
Services will be held Thursday June 23, 2011 at 11:00 am at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff with Rev. Roger Madden of First United Methodist Church officiating, Interment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held on Thursday one hour prior to the service. Pauline was born in Ute, Iowa on June 17, 1924 the daughter of Michael and Dustie(Wellner)Soper. She came to Sioux City in 1947.
Pauline worked as a bartender & waitress at several different establishments in Sioux City, the last 37 yeaers she worked at Prince’s Tavern.
Pauline loved to clean, cook, and play cards, as well as being with people all of the time.
She is survived by her three sons: Jim Iwen & Kirk Iwen of Sioux City and Michael (Carol) Iwen of Rapid City, South Dakota, her eight grandchildren and sister Jeanice Brink of Spirit Lake, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.
