Patty Jane Hover, 90 of South Sioux City, NE, passed away on March 22, 2024, in Council Bluffs, IA. A funeral will be held Thursday, April 18th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Burial will be at Dakota City Cemetery.

Patty was born on March 2nd, 1934, in Rosalie, NE to Carl and Elizabeth (McRoberts) Berg. She married the love of her life, Floyd G. Hover in 1952. She graduated valedictorian from Rosalie in 1952 and received her bachelor’s degree in education and arts. Patty was a teacher at Willis Beach School and homemaker.

Patty had a love for life that radiated in her smile. She loved the lord, her family, and big fancy hats. She will be greatly missed.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her children: Floyd P. Hover, Fred (Becca) Hover, Roxann (Tyler) Drum, Keith Hover; her grandchildren: Jessie Hover, Skyler (Shantel) Drum, Freddy Nunes (Hover), Kayla (Blake) Stahlecker, Juliann (Bonara) Ros, Taylor Drum, Emma Hover, Jaden Hover; great grandchildren: Jaylen Hover, Surichany Ros, Suebonneary Ros, Sumunavi Ros, Naysaat Ros, Narin Ros, Keira Drum, Aiden Drum, Freddy Nunes Jr., Linkin Drum, Braxton and Bryson Stahlecker.

Patty is preceded in death by her husband Floyd G. Hover, children Michael Hover, Jeri Hover and her grandchild, Teddy Drum.
