Patsy A. Maaske, 73 of Sioux City, died Sunday, February 13, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 Friday, February 18 ^th at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. A time of sharing will start at 1 pm.

Patsy was born on July 13, 1948 in Sioux City, the daughter of Wilbert and Mary (Williams) Nelson. She graduated from Central High School in 1966. Patsy was united in marriage to Willard Duane Maaske, Sr in June of 1965.

Patsy worked at IBP. She worked her way up to a supervisor then as a government inspector. Later she worked at Pac Fab as a production line supervisor. During the early 1990’s, she became a telemarketer at MCI.

During her younger days, Patsy and Duane loved to go dancing. She enjoyed playing bingo and taking trips with the family. During 2009 she had a major stroke, which curtailed her activities.

Patsy is survived by her son, Willard Duane (Shawna) Maaske, Jr., daughter Mary (Ricky Hartnett) Maaske, 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Margaret Lange and Paula (Bob) Walsh.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Duane in 2017, daughter Tina Bauer in 2020, and two brothers, Willie Nelson and George Nelson.
