Patsy L. Bornhoft, 94 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home, surrounded by her family and friends. Private family burial will be held at a later date.

Pasty was born December 7, 1930, in Mitchell, South Dakota to Emil and Etta (Johnson) Stoelk. Her family lived in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for a while and then they moved to Sioux City, Iowa when she was a young girl. In June of 1951 Pasty married Allen Dean Bornhoft and in this union, they had two daughters, Cindy and Nancy.

She enjoyed being around her family and friends. Patsy also enjoyed singing, dancing, reading, and knitting throughout her lifetime.

Pasty is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Houlihan, and Nancy Rush, four granddaughters, 11 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Allen Dean.

The family would like to give a sincere thank you to St. Croix Hospice staff and the Holy Spirit staff for the wonderful care and seeing her though her final time on this earth.

May she rest in peace and dance among the stars with her beloved husband.
