Patricia was born on December 8,1928 to George and Pearl (Beaubien) Rowe. She and her mother shared the same birthdate. As a young girl she was close to her Gramma Rowe and spent quite a bit of time at the “Big” house at 2805 Rebecca Street. Pat attended schools in Sioux City and was a member of the East High Class of 1947.
She was united in marriage to Duane (Duke) Lamoureux on November 29, 1947, at St. Joseph Catholic church in Sioux City. During their 63+ years of marriage, Pat was a stay-at-home mother, which was a good thing since she and Duke and 8 children, 3 girls and 5 boys. Their home was a popular place and she frequently had extra neighborhood kids there. She often remarked that “I cooked for 10 or more people for over 30 years”. After Duke’s retirement from the Post Office, they spent 18 years in their winter home at Siesta Village in Weslaco, TX. They both loved their time there and made lifelong friends and even more fond memories of their south Texas home.
Pat is survived by her three daughters, Julie (Jim) McGill of Sioux City, Sandy (John) Mansfield of Sioux City, and Lori (Mike) Davis of Oakdale, CA, by four sons, Tom Lamoureux of Emerson, NE, Mike (Cindy) Lamoureux of Sioux City, Steve (Julie) Lamoureux of Wayne, NE, and Gerry (Lisa) Lamoureux of Sioux City, and one daughter in law, Sandy Lamoureux of Spirit Lake, IA.
