Patricia L. McNaughton, 65 of South Sioux City, Ne passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Services will be held 10 am Saturday, November 20 ^th at Salem Lutheran Church, 1753 G Avenue, Dakota City, Nebraska. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City are assisting with the arrangements.

Patricia was born on September 13, 1956 in Sioux City, the daughter of James and Phyllis (Bowman) Schrader. Patricia graduated from the South Sioux City High School in 1974. She was united in marriage to Richard McNaughton on June 22nd, 1974. After spending some time building and raising a family, she returned to academia to receive a degree in Graphic Design from Western Iowa Tech in 2002.

Trish held a variety of positions in the workforce before moving onto MCI, where she quickly worked her way into a management position.  She was a very driven, hard working and motivated woman and utilized those strengths to quickly build her graphic design career. During those years she was also the President of the S.O.P.S. Investment Group, which she took on with fulfillment. She also worked at Winnebago Indian News for 15 years, retiring in 2018. Trish was a very talented seamstress and mastered the art of crochet. Among other things, she had an extensive bell collection and had a lifelong adoration of rocks. She looked at the blessings of everyday life and derived joy in the helping of others. She truly was a genuine person and was loved by all who knew her.

Trish is survived by her sons, Joel McNaughton and Adam McNaughton, daughter Emily McNaughton, her parents James and Phyllis (Bowman) Schrader and her sister Laurie Gardea.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard McNaughton in 2012.
