Patricia Teresa Dailey, 84, of Sioux City, IA passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, surrounded by her family at home. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5010 Military Rd., Sioux City, IA. Luncheon immediately following.

Patricia was born October 25, 1938, in Sioux City, IA to Francis and Anna (Wehner) Benton. She grew up In Sioux City and graduated from Heelan High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Jack Dailey.  To this union five children were born, although many neighborhood children considered her like a mother as well. Her children include Jack, Elizabeth, Joseph, Jim and Mary. She was a phenomenal wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with family and especially baking with her grandchildren. She will be most remembered for her positive outlook on life, her quick wit, the way she fiercely loved and the twinkle of mischief in her eyes when she spoke and laughed.

She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church and had a deep devotion to The Blessed Mother.

Pat is survived by her children Jack (Brenda) of Sioux Falls, SD, Elizabeth Dailey, Jim (Tammy Mohr) Dailey, and Mary (Jeff) Waldman, all of Sioux City; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; sisters Mary Colt, Hope Benton, Ann Trudo and Jean Miner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her son Joseph Dailey, her sister Sheila Seitz; and brothers Dan, Frank and Robert Benton.
