Patricia Ann “Patti” Olson passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 in a Sioux City hospital from pneumonia. Memorial service will be held at 11am Friday, April 29 at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Morningside in Sioux City IA. Arrangements are with Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Patti was born June 22, 1948 in Sioux City, Iowa. She attended public grade schools and graduated from Sergeant Bluff High school in 1967. Patti married Jan Olson on June in 1989 at Long Beach, California, and they have been together for 32 years.  Patti loved going to church and oversaw the food bank at Southern Hills Baptist Church.  Her hobbies included sewing, canning, quilting, and cooking among other hobbies.

Patti is survived by her husband, Jan Olson of Sioux City, IA, her four children; Buffie Touchette (Eddie) of New Boston, Tx, Tracey Pomerson (Andy), Jim Holcomb (Angie) and Sonora Swords (Kyle) from Sioux City, IA, as well as 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren with another on the way, two sisters, Jean Marie Biggerstaff of Winter, SD, Sharon Boyle of Chokio, Minnesota, brother, Robert Campbell of Sioux City, and several nieces and nephews.

Patti is preceded in death by her mother, Marie Gerdes of Sioux City, IA, stepfather, Lloyd Gerdes of Midland, TX, two sisters, Linda Ohlman of Amherst, NE, and Mary Katherine Biggerstaff of Sioux City, IA.
