Pam Rollins, 69 of Colorado Springs, Colorado went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at a Colorado Springs hospital, with her husband and a friend by her side. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 15 at River Hills Church, 1101 5th Ave, South Sioux City, NE 68776. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa.
Pam was born December 29, 1953, in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Robert and Donna (Cole) Long. She graduated from East High School, Sioux City, IA in 1972. Pam spent time working as a CNA at St. Lukes Hospital until she earned her Certificate of Nursing Assistant degree at Western Iowa Tech in 1982. She then worked at Matney Morningside Manor. In 1995 she moved to Colorado where she worked various jobs and started a house cleaning business. In 2007 and 2008 she attended College of America in Colorado Springs. There she earned her Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Medical Specialties and was on the Dean’s List and the Director’s List. She then got a job at UCHealth Memorial North Hospital and in 2009 transferred to UCHealth Memorial Central Hospital. She left her medical career in 2010 and did volunteer work for World Challenge in Colorado Springs and The Springs Church in Colorado Springs. She also did volunteer work for The War Dog Memorial in Colorado Springs. She was an advocate to stop puppy mills.
Pam married her first husband at 18, and they had their first child shortly after, a daughter named Brenda. Two and a half years later she had her son, Tim. She is survived by her husband David Rollins of Colorado Springs, Colorado; children Brenda Michell of Seattle, Washington, Tim (Tiffany) Anderson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 5 grandchildren, Madison, Emma, Hunter, Vanessa, Seth; two brothers, Rob (Sue) Long of Sioux City, Iowa, Michael Long of Sioux City, Iowa, and a sister Sue Long-Brown of Sioux City, Iowa; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pam married Dave Rollins in 2011.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Robert “Bob” and Donna Long; and sister Jackie Long. Pam was a loving friend, dog mom, wife, mother, and grandmother.
