Pamela "Pam" Kay Beglau, 75, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by her family after a short but courageous battle with cancer on October 26, 2025, at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Born in Sioux City on August 4, 1950, to Cecile Boyle, she graduated from Central High School in 1968. Pam and Jerry Beglau were married on April 4, 1970, celebrating their 55th anniversary this past April.
Pam dedicated most of her working years to taking care of infants at St. Luke's Hospital and then Prodigy Learning Center in Dakota Dunes where she retired nearly 10 years ago. She had an incredible work ethic and was very dependable.
Pam was a friend to everyone always ready with a smile and a helping hand. Over the years she enjoyed spending time with Jerry watching their grandchildren participate in various activities.
Pam was preceded in death by her mother Cecile; sister, Jackie Derochie; brother, Ronnie Vlack; mother and father-in-law, Bea and Norman Beglau; brothers-in-law: Scott Osborn and Craig Mannion; sister-in-law and lifelong friend, Patty Mannion; and son-in-law, Jon Eyer.
Pam is survived by her husband Jerry; daughter, Michelle Eyer; son, Gregg Beglau; daughter-in-law, Kristen Beglau; grandchildren: Tina, Johnathan (Alyson), Dayton, and Kaylee Eyer, Vincent Traina, Anabella Beglau; and sisters-in-law: Donna Osborn, Norma Wynn, Betty Socha; and numerous nieces and nephews.
