Pamela A. Simmons, of Yankton, South Dakota passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024. Memorial Services will be held at Community United Methodist Church, Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 101 Baker Drive, Sergeant Bluff, IA, on March 16th, at 11:00a.m. Visitation will be one held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Beresford, SD.

Pamela Adelle Simmons was born on June 19, 1950 to Russell and Dotty Johnson. Pam was raised in the rural Sioux City area. She was wed to Douglas Simmons on July 29, 1967. To them, two wonderful daughters were born. Pam’s passions were her daughters, grandsons, family, and sewing/quilting.

Pam is survived by her husband Doug; daughter Melissa (Jack Zimmerman); grandsons, Adam Koch (son of Richard Koch), Cole Zimmerman and Sean Zimmerman; sister, Sheila Prestonback;  and three brothers, Ricky, Rusty and Ross Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Michelle Koch, and brothers, Duane and Roger.
