Norman K. Davidson, 81, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Pehrson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Norman was born on July 25, 1933, in Stanford, South Dakota, the son of George and Nancy (Bates) Davidson. He grew up in the Lawton, Iowa area and graduated from Lawton High School in 1952. Norman married Joyce Kivlighn on March 27, 1954 in Leeds, IA. He joined the United States Army in June of 1955 and was discharged in 1957.
Norman worked for Sioux Tools for 20 years and later worked for Mid-American until retiring in 1995. He was a very active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Norman loved to spend his time with his family, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and doing yard work.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce, his sons: Rick (Cindie) Davidson of Colorado and Dave (Tracy) Davidson of St. Paul, Minnesota, grandchildren: Michael (Rachel), Brandon (Britney), Austin Davidson, and Allison (Dave) Benton, great grandchildren: Seth, Cole, Jett, and Carter.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
