He was an uncle to 3 generations of three nieces and two nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews and 9 great great nieces and nephews. Norm worked for Vince Farr driving a mail truck. He would have the older kids ride alone with him to Omaha and Carrol. Norm was always ready to ride a rollercoaster. He was a man of many traits. Norm was always tinkering with small motors, loved to get them running again.
Norm loved his Chrysler’s and American muscle cars. He enjoyed growing a garden every spring, even if it was just a variety of tomatoes.
Our brother, our uncle lost his fight with cancer after ten years. Norman took very good care of himself, he never complained. He always remained himself. Norm did find comfort in raising his dogs, it was an unconditional love.
He is survived by his sister, Ruth VandePol; two nephews, Robert and Tim (Angela); three nieces, Brenda (Robert), Danielle (Jim), and Alyssa (Jelson), and Jack and Ben.
Norm is preceded in death by his parents, and two infant brothers, Donnie and David.
