Nola Jane Dunagan, 84 of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at a care facility in Omaha, NE. Funeral Services will be held 10:00am Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will be in Harlan Cemetery, Harlan, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm with family present from 6-8pm Friday, August 5, 2022, at the funeral home.

Nola Jane was born November 9, 1937, in Shelby County, Iowa the daughter of Fritz and Zeta (Waterbury) Hamdorf. She graduated in 1955 from Avoca High School. Nola married E. Richard Coe on September 11, 1955. On October 3, 1992, Nola was united into marriage with D. Darrel Dunagan. She was a Brownie Leader, Den Mother, and a 4H Leader for many years. Nola fostered over 60 babies while raising her own children. She was a member of Helping Hands, Legion Auxiliary, and New Hope Circle at the United Methodist Community Church. Nola was also the Treasurer at Helping Hands and the Legion Auxiliary.

She worked at the Sloan Pharmacy, Northwestern Mutual Life, Pioneer Bank, and sold Avon for over 30 years. Nola was a very giving and kind soul.

Nola is survived by her four children; Debra (Timothy) Hart of Georgetown, TX, Richard (Barbara) Coe of Council Bluffs, Robert (Piaky) Coe of Bangkok, Thailand, Gregory Coe of Elkhorn, NE, three stepchildren; Brenda (John) Jensen of Mesa, AZ, Mike (Diane) Dunagan of Whiting, IA, Lori Whittecar of Sioux City, IA, 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and many friends who will mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband D. Darrel, stepson, Randy Dunagan, first husband, E. Richard Coe, and 2 step granddaughters, Amy Bonawitz and Kara Schatz.
